From the beginning of their session, Evan and Mariel made photographing their relationship feel effortless.

Why Winn Park Is a Great Atlanta Engagement Photo Location


Winn Park is one of my favorite types of Atlanta locations for couples who want their engagement photos to feel natural and timeless.


Unlike some of Atlanta’s larger and more recognizable parks, Winn Park has a quieter, tucked-away feeling. Its mature trees, greenery, walking paths, and small garden areas create variety without making the session feel like you’re constantly moving from one landmark to another.


That intimate atmosphere is one of the reasons Winn Park works so well for engagement photography.


You can have a classic portrait beneath the trees, walk hand-in-hand along the paths, stop for a close-up moment, and create images that feel completely different simply by changing the direction of the light.

Making Engagement Photos Feel Natural


One of the biggest things I hear from couples is:


"We're awkward in front of the camera."


Trust me—you aren't alone.


Most couples aren't professional models, and I don't expect you to be.


My approach to engagement photography is centered around giving you simple direction while leaving plenty of room for genuine interaction. Instead of holding the same pose for several minutes, we'll walk, talk, laugh, get close, and interact with each other.


Those small movements create the photographs that often become favorites.

It's also a chance for us to get comfortable working together before your wedding day.
